Viewing the World Differently
Faster Workflow, Sharper Models, Smarter Decisions
Have you ever seen a 3D model? Most people have. But let me ask: was the model clear enough to inspect? Could you zoom in, rotate it, and observe details like signboards, textures, or shadows from different angles? Not every model allows you to do that.
That’s beginning to change. We recently witnessed a major leap forward in 3D mapping technology — one that transforms not just image clarity, but the entire workflow, from aerial image capture to 3D model visualization. What I experienced was faster, sharper, and more intelligent than anything I’ve seen before in the field.

Drone Mapping with Get3D 5-Eye Oblique Camera
The project began with a drone flight over an urban area of 1.6 square kilometers. We deployed a Matrice drone equipped with a 5-eye oblique camera, a compact and high-performance aerial imaging system that captures five different angles in a single shot — top-down and from four diagonal directions.
Unlike conventional aerial cameras that only offer a vertical view, this oblique setup delivers multi-angle visual data of rooftops, building facades, roadways, and open spaces. The camera weighs just 950 grams but delivers exceptional high-resolution imagery.
At a flight altitude of 120 meters, we collected over 18,000 images in a single flight session — giving us a comprehensive dataset of the city landscape.

That’s where Farmlite came in

In traditional workflows, processing tens of thousands of images might take hours, sometimes even days. Stitching, aligning, and rendering such data sets requires immense computing power and time. Farmlite changed all of that. Acting like five high-performance computers working in parallel, Farmlite processed our entire set of 18,000+ images in less than 50 minutes. This incredible speed meant we could move from data collection to visualization faster than ever before — saving both time and labor.
With our Get3D 5 eye oblique-camera and Farmlite-powered workflow, we’re able to convert thousands of aerial images into high-resolution outputs in record time. But the real magic happens next — when those images are transformed into interactive 3D models that can support smarter planning and analysis.
In our next article, we’ll dive into how these models are visualized, edited, and applied in real-world use cases like city infrastructure planning.
Lebih Pantas, Lebih Jelas, Keputusan Lebih Bijak
Pernahkah anda melihat model 3D? Kebanyakan orang pernah.
